Back To The Drawing Board

It’s almost been a month now since I last posted something of value dealing with the struggle to be a musician in Philadelphia. Lots of things have happened in that month. Lots more than I can get into or that you may even be able to handle. So I’ll give the abridged version.

I moved into a giant house the beginning of June with one of my best friends. I took some time to carefully search places out until we found the right one.

Being musicians we need the ability to play music without anyone yelling (including roommates).

Being 20 somethings we needed something where we had our own space.

Since we still go to bars we needed to find a place that was halfway decent so we didn’t go crazy and tear down the shitty kitchen cabinets.

I think…we found it.

We had a lot to sort through over the coming weeks:

And here’s us fixing the garbage disposal we broke the second day in.

I am in the process of building a recording studio within the house. It’s sparse at the moment as I unpack all the incredible gear acquired over the year.

At the same time we moved in, I moved up in my job. I am learning something new everyday. I am grateful for the opportunity, the experience, and the support.

Life is nothing short of where I wanted to be exactly a year ago. I now have 2 songs released to the world.  2 really really good songs !!

And I’m back to playing shows. Really really good shows !! Better than I’ve ever played to crowds that really seem to dig it.

And I am in the process of getting a solidified band together for more live shows.

And while I work on those grand schemes I have a steady job that keeps me afloat and gives me passion. I can’t tell you how much I’m learning about myself and about wine.

I’ve never been more….grateful in life. It still hasn’t hit me yet. All these things have come together so fast. No matter what happens, in the current moment, I have all that I could ever need and am surrounded by love, friends, support, and talent. I’ve never been more excited for the next big project !

P.S. I have also now become a keyboardist/guitarist of the newest rock band in Philadelphia - LUSTINGER !!
